Principal Character Artist & Senior Ballet Master with The Royal Ballet Company, Gary Avis MBE, led an incredible one-day ‘Character Performance’ workshop for us teaching some extracts from Kenneth Macmillan’s beautiful ballet, Romeo & Juliet. Gary has created roles for many of the world’s leading choreographers and has performed with amazing dancers, most notably a long dance partnership with Dame Darcey Bussell. Gary also performed with Darcey for the ‘Spirit of the Flame’ for the Closing Ceremony of the London Olympic Games, as well as appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
