In the King group, our members practice working as both actors and directors and opportunities are given to lead, devise, craft and take ownership of their performances.

Acting technique develops the ability to listen, receive, process and respond to fellow actors. Voice and speech training further develops the foundation skills including, breath control, range, clarity and flexibility. Movement work helps the young actor establish the physicality of the characters they play as well as breaking down inhibition, developing physical awareness and understanding the power of the ensemble. Members are exposed to the works of a variety of practitioners, genres and theatrical styles. They are encouraged to explore their own world and the world around them through drama as they learn to discover their own individual style and strengths.
